Born with the name Norma Jean this gal bedazzled Hollywood with her blonde bombshell ditzy dame character Marilyn Monroe. I fully intended to make her in her famous skirt billowing outfit but after watching this clip of her in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. I went with this number. I was a bit bummed out that the hot pink looks so red and the diamond rhinestones look more like pearls.. So kudoes to Tristi Pinkston for our guess of the week.
My favorite movies starrring Marilyn Monroe are How to Marry a Millionaire where she’s plays a character who’s as blind as a bat and refuses to wear glasses as she thinks it’ll chase away the men, and then in Some Like it Hot with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. She plays a night club singer and the guys dress up like women band members to hide out from the Mob.
