I wasn’t allowed to watch much TV when I was a kid. One show that the whole family enjoyed was I Dream of Jeannie starring Barbara Eden. This show lasted for 5 years and it wa so fun to watch Jeannie shake her ponytail and grant wishes. Cool thing is she is the voice of the genie teacher on the show Shimmer and Shine! After tackling an astronaut on week 28, the idea of making a genie was irresistible. Barbara has an amazing resume of feature films, television films and series, stage productions, and even two albums. She has written a New York Times Best Seller Jeannie Out of the Bottle!
Alive and well but retired at 87 she still is gorgeous with a winning smile. In our house she’ll always be Jeannie.
