Mister Rogers was not my favorite show growing up. I still watched it. It was peaceful and slow moving. I liked the fun faster paced Sesame Street with bright colors and catchy songs. The things I liked about Mister Roger’s Neighborhood were the clips of how things were made, the miniature neighborhood that was the opening clip, and the trolley
I have some things in common with Mister Rogers. I like to make things and I play the piano, and I love lots of sweaters. I’m also a peaceful friendly type. I however could never be perfectly groomed with every hair in place. My home is more chaotic and messy but that could have to do with our house containing lots of children versus his unlived in home where once again everything was perfectly clean and neat.
I admire Mister Rogers so much more now that I’ve grown up. Now if I can only find a friend to watch and appreciate his new movie together.
Always, Vickie
