I bought a new dress for Easter, pale blue and soft brushed cotton. After wearing it and really enjoying how I felt in it, I realized it was very similar to the dress I wore when I graduated high school way back when!

My mom’s favorite color is blue. Since I’m the oldest daughter every time she got the chance she’d dress me in blue. I felt like Laura from Little House on the Prairie as she always wore blue hair ribbons and Mary always got the pink. I like variety so I rarely would choose a blue dress.

For graduation my grandma sent my cousin Michelle with me to buy a new dress. She sent us to The Bon ( which no longer exists but it was like Nordstroms, or Macy’s or Dillard’s- high end). I don’t remember if she had a couple picked out but I do remember trying on a black and white outfit and a beautiful blue dress. The blue dress was simple with a small white collar, buttons and pleats down the front, and a simple belt. I almost didn’t buy it but my cousin convinced me I looked amazing.

I don’t think I even have a picture of me wearing the dress but I loved it and wore it all through college and then probably passed it on to one of my sisters. It’s fun reminiscing every time I wear my new blue dress! Vickie
