Difficult to believe it’s now less than one week until Christmas and week 50 of my year long challenge of creating a new doll every week. 

 Saint Nicolas was a real person who lived in the third and fourth centuries. Not much is really known about him but legend says he came from a wealthy family.  He used his fortune to bless the poor.  He was a bishop and priest in the Catholic Church.  His secret gift giving made him famous and over the years evolved into our current day Santa Claus.  I hope your family chooses to honor this holiday tradition and give some special “Secret Santa” gifts.
