It’s been a time of ups and downs. A time of trying to pull things together for both the Quiet Doll Birthday Party and the Launch of the Merry Mermaids Kickstarter. After a long talk with my husband, he suggested filming kids making and playing with the dolls. After a morning of filming I found out the not present parent doesn’t want his kids on a public video. Hopefully we’ll be able to clip and paste and tweak things so whatever Ben needs to do to make video will work out. Not sure how much a professional video will cost but I’m sure mine won’t look much like this one by the author of Mighty Mila.
Here’s a picture of the dolls we actually made today
To save time we did the pre-cut bodies but all the hair and tails were cut out by hand. I love the small flowers and fun faces. That texture on the tail is fun too.
Wish me luck on getting a video done. I’ll need all I can get!
always,
Vickie
Realized I can’t do this all myself. Went on Fivver.com today and paid someone to make our birthday poster/invitation and a coloring picture for the contest. Should both be done tomorrow and I didn’t have to stress out.
